I teach 20 very active and curious preschool students. Preschool is the start of a child's educational experience. Children are learning the skills that will help them throughout their entire lives. This year, I will be introducing literacy centers with Amazon Fire tablets to help my students build independence in their learning.
Amazon Fire tablets will provide me with programs to individualize learning, support learning disabilities and styles, and bring critical 21st century technology skills to my young learners.
Preschool students are very concrete learners with various learning styles. Amazon Fire tablets will bring a lot of benefits to our classroom. They will provide more opportunities for developmentally appropriate engaging lessons that students can do independently.
In preschool, young learners need play-based learning to develop creativity and build knowledge about the world around them. I have worked to provide my students with a variety of materials to help them explore, communicate, and build confidence. In my classroom, we have learning centers for students to draw, write, sing, play, dance, and act. However, we have not had the funding to provide our students with meaningful technology. Amazon Fire tablets will provide me with programs to individualize learning, support learning disabilities and styles, and bring critical 21st century technology skills to my young learners.
Many of my students developmental needs match up well with using technology in the classroom, and I am so excited to introduce the tablets to them!
