Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is located in a very rich and diverse neighborhood. The students in my classroom come from a variety of different cultures as well as socioeconomic backgrounds. My classroom is an environment in which students understand each other and build on positive experiences with one another. This creates a learning atmosphere that students can grow emotionally, socially and academically.

My class has a wide range of learners.

There are ELL, SPED as well as some students who receive resources room support. Giving to our project will help students learn and collaborate more effectively.

My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting will support and deepen students' understanding. They will also become more fluent in their typing skills. Our school has several projects that are designed to incorporate consistent use of technology. We have events such as Heritage Night in which students produce an interactive presentation about their heritage by recording on a green screen. Specifically in our classroom, we will be using the technology of iPads in small groups with specially designed instruction to support a wide range of learners. This will provide my students with the practice of using technology as well as another way for them to access and enjoy learning!
