This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all special, learning and growing everyday. Despite challenges they may face coming from a high poverty, low income area in a small town in Texas, they come to school excited every day with smiles on their faces, dancing, singing, ready to learn. Many of them are growing leaps and bounds everyday. It is exciting to see their faces light up when they understand or get something new. That is what makes this age of Pre-K so special and magical.

My Project

My Pre-K class comes to school everyday ready to learn! We are a high poverty, low income school district. These babies face struggles everyday in and out of the classroom. Any technology in the classroom will help them bridge the gap of learning and help make that connection to struggling readers and those looking to make that "click." Technology is present in most homes and what many in the classroom are familiar with. These tablets would be used in a center with learning apps on them to help them reinforce basic numerical and reading/alphabet skills everyday while having fun at the same time.
