My students need chromebooks for differentiated learning with technology in the classroom

My Students

My students are very hard workers and they are very engaged when working in centers. My students come to class eager to learn and they keep trying even when they are challenged. I make sure to differentiate all work so that all students feel successful every day.

My students are very diverse.

My school is a low-income public charter school with a focus on science and math. I make sure they have many hands-on activities to be engaged in.

We serve K-6 with the focus on preparing the students for college.

My Project

Chromebooks in kindergarten would give the students an opportunity to be able to use apps that would help the students in differentiated learning.

Most students in my class do not have an opportunity to use apps at home and so school is the only way they have an opportunity to learn through technology.

One day a week the students are given the opportunity to use the computer lab and it is amazing to see how engaged they become in learning. I would love to be able to give them chromebooks that are available in class so they could have this same opportunity daily.
