My Students

Our school is a Title I elementary school located in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area of the city. We have a diverse group with the largest student population being primarily African-American and a growing population of ELL, some of whom are just learning English. Over 90% of students receive free or reduced lunch. We are an AVID school and want our students to become life-long learners and college bound. My students are amazing! They are young, fun, and ready to learn.

The students in my classroom love to learn and have a thirst for knowledge and curiosity about the world.

My Project

With an iPad in the classroom, students will be able to FaceTime other classrooms in the state and around the country. My goal is to connect with at least five different schools around the country to learn about their culture and beliefs. I want my students to have the best experience in school and learn technology. Technology is leading the work industry, and I strongly believe students need the exposure and learning experience from technology.
