Technology in Kindergarten
My students need an easily navigated website. Starfall will be an education tool that students will have fun with while learning through educational games.
Our school has a one-to-one laptop initiative. Currently, my kindergarten class has 5 laptops and 4 iPods that are accessible to my students daily. Students are eager and excited to learn with the technology.
My students are mostly from low-income families.
They have little or no technology at home. Our school has a one-to-one laptop initiative. Students are eager to use the technology that we have in our classroom on a daily basis. Technology makes learning more individualized for each student.
The Starfall website will reach my children on their grade level and also teach to the Common Core Standards. The website makes learning fun for every ability level. The website is also able to be matched more accordingly to each of their learning abilities. Students are excited to use these resources daily.
These resources will help children further their education in a meaningful and fun way.
Most importantly, funding this project will give my students access to educational technology which will prepare them for a technology-rich work force in their futures.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
