My first grade students are energetic, eager, and enthusiastic to learn.

They work hard and thrive in an environment that is motivating and engaging. Some of our students do not have access to any technology at home. When I use an iPad to enhance lessons, they get so excited. Unfortunately, at our school, one iPad is shared with an entire grade level consisting of 5 teachers.

My Project

I want to prepare my students for success by incorporating technology in all areas of learning. By having an iPad in my classroom, I will be able to help my students with research projects, publish writings, practice high frequency words, gain math fluency, build vocabulary, increase reading comprehension, and much more. Although the applications of technology seems to be endless, it will be used to enhance education and not replace it.

Acquiring an iPad will benefit my students by being able to use technology in the classroom.
