Help me give my students the technology needed in the classroom. A Surface Pro allows me to move around and help my students while wirelessly projecting on the board.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students at the school have been very energetic and want to learn. One hundred percent of our students qualify for free lunch and don't have many resources at home. Technology is lacking at our school and is greatly needed to motivate students in all classes, but especially mathematics classes where many of our students come from schools without math teachers.
With the right resources, they can have the high school experience they deserve and need to be successful in college.
My Project
With students returning to the classroom the need of technology to engage the has become apparent. My student's only source has been chromebooks that tend to not work as fast as they use to. A Surface Pro will allow me to project wirelessly with my projector and engage my students while it gives me mobility in my classsroom. We are constantly looking at graphs, tables, and real live information in a statistics class.
Having it big on a screen and in color will help students have a better visual and understanding of the materials.
Student's chromebooks have greatly slowed down and students will be using any accesible computer in class including my own. This is why it will be a great resource to have an additional piece of technology that can project on the board when theirs fails and allows them to have a clear view.
