I have a wonderful group of 16 third graders in my class. I have many students for whom English is a second language and other students who are on individual education plans.
The children in my classroom work so hard to learn English.
Many of them only have the opportunity to practice their English in the classroom. Yet, everyday they come in with a smile on their faces and ready to work. They make so much progress thorough the year I could not be more proud of them.
My Project
My students with benefit from these Chrome books in all aspects of the classroom. My students will be able to type up their responses to reading. They will be able to create and draft different kinds of writing. Students will be able to research different topics in social studies and science. These Chrome books will also help in math because students can use websites that help them practice their fact fluency and problem solving skills.
Students will also benefit from using reading and language programs to help with their English Skills.
These Chrome books will help the children to experience and learn the technology they will be expected to use in the Next Generation testing.
