Before your donation, my students did not have routine access to Chromebooks at school. We needed to share with other classrooms, other grade levels and other teachers throughout the building that needed to use them for mandatory testing purposes. Not having access to Chromebooks whenever we needed them in our classroom made it especially difficult for English Language Learners. \r\n\r\nHaving Chromebooks in our classroom now allows my students to learn by providing everyday access to our online app platform, Clever, that is necessary to acquire school related academic programs for student growth. My students can now easily use literacy programs such as Lexia, Epic!, Amplify and ReadWorks. They can also acquire math programs such as Illustrative Math and ST Math. All of these programs provide differentiation to my students so they can work at their own level to be successful. These classroom Chromebooks are used daily during our reading block center time. I can also have students use our Chromebooks for taking mandatory online assessments such as Reading MAP, (Measures Academic Performance) Math MAP and DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) which is a series of short tests that assess literacy skills in students. \r\n\r\nMy English Language Learners have especially warmed to having Chromebooks in our classroom. They can now easily work at their own level when practicing phonics and phonemic awareness skills that are required to for any reader to be fluent and to comprehend. However, all of my students love having access to these classroom Chromebooks. Everyone can now practice daily at their own individual levels to enhance their reading, writing and mathematical skills.","fullyFundedDate":1735657817216,"projectUrl":"project/chromebook-celebration/8875091/","projectTitle":"Chromebook Celebration!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kiley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1592399_orig.jpg?crop=1290,1290,x0,y154&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728741540320","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrskiley5"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_62235","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":323,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":59,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":20,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.6,"schoolId":62235,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Frances Parker Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Frances Parker Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/massachusetts/quincy-public-schools/frances-parker-elementary-school/62235"}
