Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students of this generation are growing up in a technologically immersive world! My students would greatly benefit from a classroom laptop computer that will engage them and enhance their learning experiences.
My students are eager learners!
They are a curious and imaginative group of boys and girls who have a passion for learning new things. Our school provides them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow both socially and academically. My students come to school ready to learn everyday and enjoy being part of our school community.
My Project
Having a laptop in the classroom will enhance my students' learning experience because I will be able to expand their view of the world around them. I will be able to use the laptop for our new Language Arts and Mathematics programs' component by accessing each of their additional online resources. It is exciting to know that with a laptop, I will be able to have online connections, immediately look up information regarding specific questions they may have during a lesson, and project it on the screen for the entire class to see. The visual engagement will serve to complement lessons and connect students to real-world experiences. This technology will serve as an excellent tool to provide additional instruction in all subject areas.
Students now need to become more technologically savvy and having a laptop will allow me to tap into this developing strength.
It will make an enormous difference in the way my students will learn and explore the world. It will significantly enhance their learning experience and allow me to present information to them in a more concrete and precise way. With a sweep of the fingertips, I will be able to open up their eyes and minds to virtually any question they may have!
