My Project
In a classroom with dozens of computer programs and apps easily available, sometimes it's nice to take a break from technology and be "old school". Sometimes the router goes down and we have no choice but to resort to the tried and true methods of teaching without a screen. But most importantly, sometimes it's necessary to take a brain break and have fun with your students.
I am requesting a variety of materials for indoor recess, fun Fridays, and other technology free times.
I am requesting puzzles, coloring and art supplies, card and board games, and Mad Lib puzzles for screen free reward time. These materials will be used during rainy day indoor recess, fun Friday, and earned classroom incentives.
By incorporating board games and puzzles into the classroom, students get the opportunity to practice cooperation, problem solving, and other real-world life skills in a low stress environment. With Mad Libs, they're reviewing parts of speech without even realizing they're learning! I am also requesting colored pencils and markers to ensure that creativity freely flows in our third grade classroom.
