Technology for Vocal Music Classroom
My students need a new printer and a new DVD/CD drive for our classroom computer.
We are working with technology that is 20+ years old! We need technology that is from this time period to meet our needs. Our current printer is not working properly, and our external CD/DVD drive is not functional.
Our school is very diverse and is made up of students from 70 different countries/languages.
Our school also houses a gifted and talented program, an English as a second Language program, along with a Moderately Cognitively Impaired group of students. The items that we are in need of would be benefit all students as described above and would be used by over 200 students this year alone.
Our students would use the classroom printer to make copies, print, and fax in class assignments, projects, music, music reading materials, and classroom handouts. The external DVD/CD drive would allow me to show students firsthand how to use music theory software on the projector in our classroom. The external DVD drive would also allow me to show relevant videos to my students along with burning CDs or DVDs of music that we are working on and or videos of concerts and lessons.
This project will allow my students to work with technology that will enhance their learning.
Both of the items we are in need of are essential items to the education of my students (printer and CD/DVD drive).
