I love what I do and I do what I love: I am absolutely dedicated and passionate about technology. I could not imagine doing anything else. Sharing my passion for technology with my students, while teaching them to be disciplined and cooperative is very important to me.
Ninety percent of the students in my school are on free and reduced lunch.
Seventy five percent of them come from broken homes. In my classroom I have several students who are emancipated minors.
I am constantly trying to find ways to harness and tap into that inspiration, to help their creativity and love for learning flourish. I enjoy Sharing in their excitement when they discover something new. We learn something new about technology on a daily basis.
We don't want to manufacture pupils who memorize and repeat back what they learn. Instead, we want to help creative, insightful, passionate young learners find their way. My hope is to help every one of my students learn to work with technology.
I have continued to educate myself on the latest in coding and cyber security. I am anxious to know all there is to know about this area. The workshops and lectures with experts in the field of coding would allow me to gain significant knowledge. With this expert knowledge I could reach my educational goal and become more of a facilitator and a coach for my students. Students will further educate me by sharing their first-hand understanding of technology.
I am eager to develop a working knowledge of how to set professional learning goals and apply strategies for integrating digital technology into learning activities to enhance student learning.
I will be able to recognize how computing and society interact to create opportunities, inequities, responsibilities and threats for individuals and organizations.
