This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a low income, urban school. 100% of our students receive free lunch. Many of our families are English Learners. My students are eager to learn, eager to please, and have dreams of becoming a success in their life.
My Project
Our new reading and math curriculums include a customized online component for each student. This is especially important to help fill the holes in our students’ skills. Having headphones for each student is essential for them to access their path. These pathways help them continue their work independently while I work with small groups to further their learning at their level. With these headphones, my students will be able to achieve their goals with no worries about not being able to hear over the sound of the other students’ computers.
