I am the Gifted and/or Talented teacher in Rockport, Texas, an area still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Harvey, servicing grade levels 3-5. Each grade level of students are VERY diverse and they have different emotional and social needs that I learn about each time I meet with them for study group. These kiddos definitely keep me on my toes! They challenge me in every way and I like to think it's because I challenge them in return. These students amaze me in how resilient they are in their learning in and out of the school environment. Each student has their own strengths and weaknesses and it's amazing to me how they fit and work so well with each other whether is a fun team building activity or research group.
These students inspire me to want to continue my learning and education and to be content with being curious.
My Project
My Gifted and/or Talented students are very technologically advanced and enjoy using technology for research, peer discussions, and presentations.
With the advancement in education and technology, my students will be able to grow right along with it with the use of these HP Chrome books.
With these HP Chrome books, my 3rd graders can create a presentation to propose a new game/toy company, 4th graders can propose their new innovations, and 5th graders can propose a new design for a house. All of these projects require technology that they can use individually so that they can portray their own creativity.
