This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In order to excel in chemistry, students need to be able to create as well as test well. A significant part of science is thinking outside the box to solve problems.

Students in my nearly 4,000 student high school come from elementary and middle schools that are Title 1.

We have over 15 languages spoken in our students' homes and many of these kids are trying to be the first in their family to attend a four-year college.

My Project

My students need flash drives for saving data during labs as well as saving their presentations and projects throughout the year. These projects get the students to work collaboratively to solve problems and then present their findings. The file sorters will enable the students to organize their labs and other assignments.

With these supplies, students will actually be able to create projects that will help them to work through some of the most difficult concepts in chemistry.

They will be able to present to their classmates to help each other understand.
