My Students
Our classroom consists of 23 boys and girls who are eager, energetic, and excited to learn! My students come from various ethnic backgrounds. They come into the classroom every morning with smiles on their faces and are a huge reminder to me of why I do what I do! They have a wide array of learning styles that I explore.
They continue to surprise and challenge me every day.
I am an enthusiastic, nurturing, devoted, and creative teacher who enjoys working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through education.
My Project
Distance learning is a major challenge but it is a challenge that we are approaching head on. I am so proud of the tenacity and eagerness to learn that I have seen in my students.
My students are in need of technology to enhance their distance learning experience.
The Osmo will function as a document camera. It will make it easy to share my screen with students during virtual learning.
A document camera would make it so that I can write and students can see it in real time, making it easier for them to understand lessons and helping to shift back to normalcy, as this was a strategy we used with this tool in our regular classroom.
With this document camera, I would be able to write on a piece of paper and the camera would project it onto my screen, which I would be able to screen share with my students in real-time.
Through this project, I am hoping to get a small document camera so that I can project from a paper onto my computer screen for students to see during distance learning lessons, which will allow my students to better understand lessons, increasing accessibility to learning. The document camera will be used for financial literacy lessons with my students.
In the classroom, we used our document camera every day across all subject areas. It allowed us to project pages onto the overhead projector so that students can see them and follow along. In the classroom, our document camera was a hard worker.
