Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a speech-language pathologist in a New York City public school, I service students with autism and language-based learning disabilities in kindergarten through fifth grade. My students require extra support in order to learn the skills necessary for them to access the curriculum. The educational apps now available on iPads promote language development, specifically in the areas of nonverbal communication and episodic memory. All of my students will benefit from the use of technology that affords them the opportunity to succeed alongside their peers. Thank you for helping our students!
