This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students will be using Chromebooks to do their science research projects.
I teach 50 fourth graders in a bilingual class.
They spend half of their day learning in Spanish and the other half in English. They live in an urban area just outside a major city. Our school has over 600 students, with 80% free and reduced lunch. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home.
My Project
My students will use the eight Chromebooks to do their research for their science projects. They will use them to create their final product; PowerPoint, Prezi, or report. These Chromebooks will give them access to information through the Internet.
They will also use them to work on their math and improve their reading.
Your donation will provide access to information so that my students can learn and be inspired to be life long learners.
My students will be able to do their research in the classroom at their convenience. You will be giving them science and technology at their fingertips.
