This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During speech therapy we implement fun with learning communication skills. We practice our speech skills to enhance our communication skills.
I work with school aged children from 2nd - 6th grade.
My speech kids are all amazing in their own way. Some of my students have special needs and some of my speech students are to the point of carryover with specific sounds. The kids are fun, curious and ready to try new ways to practice their speech skills.
My Project
The iPad will be used for many purposes during speech sessions. A few of the ways the iPad will be used is using apps to practice articulation skills, matching, describing, using the iPad as a communication device with appropriate apps, following directions, formulating and typing sentences are just a few ways to utilize the iPad.
The iPad will add technology to our speech sessions adding a new element of learning.
The iPad will also give the kids a hands-on learning experience using the iPad and technology.
