This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Which student doesn't love technology?? All my students with special needs LOVE interacting and learning through technology. To be a part of the 21st century, they know that being equipped with the right tools and good technology will help them flourish in their learning.
Both teachers and students love learning and we strive to give our best to our students who are hungry for more and more knowledge!
My school is a Title 1 Distinguished school and 90% of the school population receives free/reduced lunch. We currently have Breakfast-in-the-Classroom to provide food for those students whose families are struggling financially. My classroom consists of students with intellectual disabilities - ADHD, Asperger's, Autism, SLD. My students age range from age 8-10 and are eager learners. They love using technology to enhance their learning process in reading, writing, math, and science.
My Project
The Mimio Teach will allow my students to interact with a smart board for all subjects. Instead of the plain old whiteboard with markers, students will be able to interact with a whiteboard that can manipulate math questions and play fun history games.
The Mimio Teach simplifies technology which allows more active participation by students to improve their learning. It will bring motivation for my struggling students to be successful and have fun in their learning through technology.
My project will help improve my class because it will give all students' access to learning the Common Core curriculum in an interactive way.
The Mimio Teach allows students' to be successful in various ways through technology. It will teach my students' life skills, such as speaking in front of an audience, performing, and using technology, which will prepare them for the real world. By gaining access to technology, we can empower our struggling students to be successful in our fast paced world
