My Students

Our school is a magnet school in Indiana. My classroom of nine students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities is focused on life skills and independence. Students in my classroom have various skill levels and everyone displays different strengths.

My students are fun, loving, and smart individuals that inspire me every day.

They like to sing, dance, give hugs and play board games with their peers. Our school is a happy environment filled with educators that truly enjoy working with students and watching them achieve their goals.

My Project

My classroom has students with moderate to severe disabilities and we don't have nearly as much technology as we need!

Students need to be able to access curriculum in new ways and be able to learn how to navigate on iPads independently!

Our world is changing and we can use technology for so many amazing things! I want my students to be able to independently and appropriately use technology for learning and leisure. We currently use Unique Learning System as our curriculum and lessons can be set up per individual student on classroom iPads to support independence. I hope you can support me with this goal!
