This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Everyday my students participate in small group activities for literacy and math. During this time students get a chance to have a hands-on experience to practice new and previously taught skills.
My students are energetic and enthusiastic 4 and 5 years old in a Baltimore City public school.
Most students come from low income families and often do not have access to technology or a variety of educational programs on the technology devices that they may have.
My Project
These mini iPads with accessories will allow my students to learn the aspect of sharing materials. These iPads will also help the students to apply new and previously taught skills through games and stories that are digital and grab their attention. They will also have first hand experience with using this new technology while working in pairs or small groups.
The donations given to make this project possible will help my students have an additional tool to use during small group instruction.
This project will make learning interactive and provide many technology skills for their future learning.
