My Project
My students are phenomenal kids! They are talented children who live in a high drug use/trade, high crime, high poverty, often forgotten about neighborhood in the South East quadrant of Washington, DC.
Technology is a vital part of everyday life now.
We live in digital world and my students have limited access to technology at home. Our school has a population of over four hundred students and we share tablets. Having iPads in our classroom, will allow my students to become computer literate and successful in this digital world.
Having iPads in our classroom will also allow my students to have technology in their daily classroom station rotation. Each day they will use a Language Arts program that caters to their needs. This program assists them with vocabulary acquisition, critical thinking, grammar, and writing. We will also be able to conduct more research based projects. My students will be able to create Power Point presentations and create graphs and charts using Excel. This will propel them to being successful academically.
