Technology for Research, Documentation, and Translating

Help me give my students an iPad and accessories. It would be so helpful to be able to use the iPad to research, take notes on clay and glazes, and for translating.

My Project

In The Clay Space, I am committed to making room for everyone. That means all students with all backgrounds, languages, and abilities. An iPad in the classroom would support numerous of the endeavors that we are trying to accomplish in here.

My students want to be able to research, document, and communicate; an iPad would help us to do all of that in one place!

Students cannot use phones in the classroom, having an iPad we can use for translating would be a huge asset. I can pull up videos in other languages or have YouTube turn on closed captions in another language. I can have a translating app available at all times when I need to communicate something as well.

Students also need to document their artwork for portfolios for college or for art shows they are submitting work for. Having an iPad will allow students to have access to a quality camera and lots of storage on the iPad. These images would remain safe and be accessible in class.

My advanced students have become excited about the science behind clay and glazes. They would like one location where they can document their research. They would like to take pictures and notes of their experiments with clay stages, clay bodies, glazes, and the clay's reaction to different temperatures.

An iPad would support the learning of all of my diverse learners and artists!
