My Students

I have 28 students in my class. The majority of them receive free lunch. Our school is in a low socio-economic area in the district. I have 5 students in my class who are speaking English on a very limited basis. There are 2 who are new to the country in the last year. The kids as well as their parents are very motivated to learn. Most of the parents both work, therefore it is difficult to get parent support in the classroom. I also have a large number of single parents in my class.

My Project

All of these items are being requested to be able to used in the classroom so that I can teach remotely and in person. The drawing pad will be used to show written examples of work to be saved and sent home or to show students who are remotely learning. The monitor and document camera will be used to have a secondary teaching site in the classroom or at home if remote learning continues.

The students will be able to see me performing the math assignments on the writing pad or document camera as well as being able to save it for them to view later.

If the kids are absent, this manner of technology will make it easy for me to share it with them because the lessons and assignments will be saved on the drawing pad.
