Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a low income/high poverty school district where 100% of the students in the school receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite coming from a disadvantaged neighborhood, the students come to school very happy and very eager to learn every day.
The students that I have in my classroom that I service have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disabilities.
They all vary with different strengths and abilities, and they need support to help to communicate and function socially with others.
My Project
Technology in the classroom is a very important part of learning in a pre k classroom. Technology can help create a bridge to real world experiences and learning in the classroom.
Most of our students do not have access to any technology in their homes, and in our classroom we have one computer to 12 students that are in the class.
An iPad in the classroom would be very beneficial for our very diverse group of learners. It will make learning hands on and very engaging and interactive for our learners. Let's help them get excited to come to school and to get them learning and exploring!
