My Students

"The More We Get Together, The Happier We'll Be." This song is the way our class begins each and every day. This is the time of day when we discuss our day's activities and projects.

Our school is located in the city of New Haven.

Every child in my class receives free breakfast and lunch. We are an urban turnaround school that is making both academic and social gains. We work as a team in Pre-K. Each child is an individual that is valued and respected.

My Project

Technology provides so many opportunities for our young preschoolers to strengthen fine motor skills, interactive skills, build vocabulary, and gain confidence in their varied abilities.

The Little Scholar tablets will be an additional resource that will help my students prepare for kindergarten.

The tablets are preloaded and do not require Internet service! The use of technology is another way to gain literacy and math skills for some of the children in my Pre-K class. This system will be an age appropriate, beneficial way to bring academic fun to life for little hands.

We currently have one working ipad in our classroom. The addition of two Little Scholar Tablets will help reach children that need alternative sources to easily learn pre-k skills.
