Technology for PE

My Students

My students all have a passion for Phys Ed. The energy they bring every week inspires me to look for ways to give them more. Each student comes to class 1-2 times a week and each student has recess every day.

One of my goals is for students to learn more about their health and fitness, another goal is to inspire movement everyday.

Whenever we have cold weather or heavy rain the students have to find ways to get that movement in the classroom. And although our school doesn't have a gym or a decent size cafeteria for them, they embrace that challenge every time.

One of the things they've shown me is that they are willing to do the best with what they are given. They show what sportsmanship looks like and hone in on skills that will make them better athletes and better team players.

My Project

Having quality speakers for outdoors will allow students to hear prompts in a larger space, especially when engaging in assessments such as the Pacer Test. It will also allow them to enjoy music when doing their workouts and other activities.

This year we will have a system for class and individual points.

The tablet allow the students to take charge of their learning experience and track their own progress.

The tablet provides an opportunity for students to get their hands on shared technology and be able to track class and individual points. The two of these items will make their indoor experience better quality. It will also have them want them invest in the class.
