Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach amazing, hard-working students at a Title I, high poverty International Baccalaureate, Dual Language neighborhood school. My students range from kindergarten to 5th grade. They come from diverse backgrounds and have many different levels of life experience. They love to learn, grow and be challenged! They are motivated to learn, curious and open-minded.
The students at our school are very appreciative of the opportunities they are given, and they rise to the occasion to learn from hands-on activities, technology, and movement!
My Project
We have received funding for our new white board, and have procured the technology to make it interactive. Now we need a dedicated computer that will run our interactive technology so that the students may work with the whiteboard and interactive technology at any time during our lesson.
Students love being able to interact digitally with the lesson they are learning!
Having a computer to run our interactive software on our new whiteboard will enable us to access the board at all times during our class period. We currently have to share a computer with other applications, and it does not stay set up and ready to go without moving cords and plugs around each time.
