it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Hello Donors! Thank you for your funding consideration. I have 26 eager to learn 8 and 9 year olds. We work hard every day developing our reading, writing, and math skills. My hope is to not only get them ready for the 4th grade but to engage them with the latest educational technology!
My students are energetic and eager to learn.
They love learning new things and have especially enjoyed taking advantage of the technology we have in class! Many of them come from disadvantaged households and I'm hoping that with this technology they'll be able to get a look into how they can use technology to advance their educations and eventually career goals.
My Project
With these materials I will be able to create a special "Science Learning Center". The students will use the large iPad as a collaborative tool to research and create content together. They'll be working together to create video content to share with the class and their parents. The students will be using the headphones to watch short video clips and edit their work on the iPad.
This project will have a direct impact on my students learning and will inspire them to pursue careers in science and technology.
Because many of these students don't have access to technology at home, these materials will get them exposed and proficient with the latest educational technology and tools.
