Our students are ready and willing to take on the challenges of a 21st century education. They have many diverse styles of learning and need exposure to 21st century learning resources. They need to collaborate with their peers and lead by example.
We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic and 1% Caucasian with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high quality education to become productive citizens.
My Project
We are committed to equipping our students for 21st century STEM by building a solid foundation in mathematics concepts. Our students will build measurement and operations fluency through virtual manipulatives and guided notes.
The Surface Pro and web camera will enable students to successfully complete and share their real-world STEM online activities.
The web camera is flexible and will allow students to present their completed projects to all of their classmates via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Together, Surface Pro and web camera provide much needed technology resources for our students. The online STEM lessons help our students to master the common core math curriculum and share their written work.
