This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so excited to be teaching the second dual immersion class at our elementary school! I can't wait to see how far my students will grow in Spanish this year. I teach a wonderful class of 52 very inquisitive kindergarten students in a high poverty area.

One of my biggest challenges is having enough resources to help my students learn.

My little boys and girls are super excited about learning! A lot of them are just going to school for the first time. Our school is a Title I school where most students receive free or reduced price lunch. My students are very curious and excited to learn how to read and write in Spanish. This program is only on its second year, and our students are making incredible gains already.

My Project

We have an iPad center but just need one more so that every child can work independently, without having to share an iPad. iPads are a great tool to reach little learners! I am requesting an iPad and case. I would like to have more students engaged with technology at a time so that they may use it in small groups to become independent learners. The iPad will be used as a center both during reading and math time.

Every little seed is different and has different growing needs.

Having different ways of learning will help my kids blossom into the flower they will be one day.
