My Students

Students in my classroom are military dependents and local residents of a large town in Hawaii. Our school is a Title I school which means we have a high percentage of students from low-income families. Furthermore, our school has a transient population due to the students with parents in the military.

My students are fun-loving preschool aged, special education students.

Students have different disabilities such as autism, speech delays, and developmental delays but they are eager, bright, and love to learn about everything! I hope to make their first experiences in school fun and engaging!

My Project

The students in my classroom struggle with oral communication skills. Providing them with the opportunity to work on their communication skills by requesting things or asking Google for information will increase their ability to communicate and gain confidence in asking others as well. I think they will think it is FUN! The curiosity of my students are endless and I hope the technology encourages investigation and inquiry!

The Google Home Hub will encourage students to interact with technology not just with their eyes but also by using their words to request or investigate things on GOOGLE!

I can imagine students asking google a variety of questions!
