Technology is such an important tool in my Kindergarten class. We use ipads for differentiating instruction. My kids love learning and don't realize how much they improve by using educational apps during the school year. Keeping them charged and stored has been a big obstacle in my classroom.
My school is a suburban public school.
My students come to school each and every day ready and excited to learn. With the implementation of the common core standards I need to lay the foundational skills for being college and career ready. I want my students to feel comfortable using technology to enhance their learning going forward. In the past few years I have had very generous parents fundraise and donate ipads to my classroom. I now have a set of eight iPads which I can use for small group instruction. This has become a very important learning tool in my class.
My Project
This resource will keep the iPads continually charged and we will be able to store them so the students will be able to access them on an as needed basis. The charging station will be in the classroom and if one of my students finish their work early, they will be able to get an ipad and use it to work and focus on a skill be taught at that time.
My students use iPads on a daily basis for differentiating instruction in the classroom.
Unfortunately, We do not have an area where we can store them and keep them charged. The result has been ipads and cords everywhere! The charging station will help the class keep the ipads organized and charged and without fear of anyone tripping over a cord or getting an ipad that wasn't charged.
