My Students

My students are AMAZING! I teach kindergarten in Chicago, and my students are some of the most energetic and enthusiastic learners there are! We are really hard workers and dedicated to our learning. My students are from a neighborhood in Chicago where most are living in economically challenging situations, yet they strive to overcome these challenges by maintaining positive attitudes and seeking out opportunities for growth and self-improvement. We are a "Leader in Me" school, so all of my students understand that they have to give their very best every day and are leaders in their daily lives. Many of my students are also English language learners which can be a challenge, but they do not let this stop them from learning. Our school community and neighborhood are very supportive and nurturing and each member contributes to our learning in some way.

My Project

My students do not have any classroom technology. Please help us get access to technology. My students wanted to create this project because they would like to be able to access online learning sites, have a way to create learning products, access online books to learn about the world, learn about coding and much much more. Technology in today’s learning is a necessity especially if we are to prepare tomorrow’s leaders. My students need technology to learn about traditional subjects like reading and math, and also to help them in becoming engineers, doctors, scientist, and more. Join me in helping to do just this and support some of my school community’s youngest learners by helping us get access to the world beyond our classroom. I truly appreciate your consideration of our project!
