My students need 2 iPad minis in the classroom to have access to more technology. Many of my students have never experienced this type of technology before.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The motto of our school is "We reach and teach to ensure success." To be successful in today's society a person MUST be able to use technology. I hope to lay the basic foundation for my students in everything they do including their ability to use different forms of technology.
I teach a kindergarten class in an economically disadvantaged location.
My students are full of energy, enthusiasm, and have a love for learning new things. Our school unfortunately is not a newer school in the district. It was built in the late 80s and therefor is low in the technology that is provided for our students. The newer schools have bonds that provide technology in the classroom such as computers, laptops, and even iPads for the students. Our school has very little technology and it is shared by the entire school of 800 students, so we have to schedule times to be able to use the technology.
My Project
These iPads would be of great use in my classroom. There are so many fun educational apps that will help teach important concepts from reading, writing, math, science, and even social studies. My students will also learn how to use this technology in the process. In order for all of my students to be able to get the opportunity to use this technology it is important for it to be in my classroom and used on a daily basis.
This will help my students become 21st century learners and give them a chance to use technology every day.
Technology is constantly changing and my students will be able to keep up with the fast pace of our society by experiencing this technology. This opens up doors for careers and ways to better their lives.
