This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have a range of special needs, which include academics and behavior. They are eager to learn and succeed in school. My students work with multiple intervention teaches to support their learning needs. My students represent English Language Learners and they represent several ethnic backgrounds. The Tubman is a high poverty school and we service a large homeless population. The students I work with are resilient and despite their challenges they always strive to do their best.My students are special because they give one hundred percent effort to their learning.

My Project

This project will used during centers during small group instruction. My students will be able to work on Lexia, ST math or I-ready. The tablets will support the students in reaching their independent academic goals and individual education plan goals. Special educators are always searching for innovative ways to reach the learners, which include multiple learning modalities. For example, in order for my students to be exposed to grade level standards they will need to have different learning experiences to reach their goals.

The tablets will help me target the reading and math instruction for my students who need a hands on approach.
