As a teacher at a Title I school, most of my students come from low-class families and do not have the opportunity to work with technology at home or at school. These Amazon Fire's will allow my students to learn many lessons and will be an additional tool they can use to learn the expected skills. We will use the technology for academic, social-emotional, and cultural support for my ENL students.
In our class, this technology will allow students to stretch their understanding of the curriculum and the world around them.
This will help with academic skills, like learning their sounds, letters, and numbers, and will allow them to start building foundational skills they can use in their future school years. These Amazon Fire's will also allow the students to develop social-emotional skills and can be used to regulate their feelings. This technology will greatly support my ENL students!
