My classroom this year consist of 25 general and special education students.
Many of my students come from low income housing with limited resources to be a successful learner outside of the classroom.
My students also come from a diverse background with various educational needs. As a teacher, I want my students to be the best learners they can be and would do anything for that to happen.
This year my students will be learning their letters and sounds, how to write, and how to add and subtract.
Technology is a major component in this generation. Since my students are familiar with touch screens, it is hard for them to navigate laptops. Some do not have the motor skills to complete tasks on the laptops. The Kindles will give them access to websites we use like Myon and iReady. These tablets will allow my class to expand our technology usage into math.
I want my students to be successful with using technology so this is why it is important for my students to have these kindles.
They will be using various apps and websites so that they can learn ELA and math.
