it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I have a wonderful group of third graders, whose literacy skills range from kindergarten - fifth grade.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and speak English, Spanish, and Arabic. They are hungry for more technology in the classroom! Our school is 96% low income and we have very few technology resources available to us. Currently in our classroom we have three outdated laptops, but only two work. The two that work are missing keys and will hopefully stay charged for most of the day!
My Project
With the addition of the two iPads, more students will be able to use technology during the day. They will be able to use our online differentiated reading program. I also hope to install apps to help my non-English speaker develop her phonics and letter recognition skills. Having the iPads will grow our library so each student has several books at their reading level to help them improve their literacy skills.
My students need this technology that they are lacking both in our classroom and at home.
It will provide resources to improve their literacy skills to be reading at grade level and beyond.
