This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are wonderful 2nd graders who are eager to learn and put forth great effort in class with the materials we currently have.

I work with a large culturally and linguistically diverse group of learners.

90% of our students are English Learners and 100% receive free lunch.

This makes it difficult to ask for and receive classroom donations from students and their families.

With the requested materials, my students will create, make, learn, and practice essential skills in our core curriculum areas in a fun and inviting environment.

My Project

I am requesting an Apple Mac Book Pro to connect to different educational web sites. With an Apple Mac Book Pro we can connect to our language arts program and our math program online. We can visit countless educational websites to view videos, pictures, and engage in interactive lessons. We can download pictures and materials for each of our reading, math, science, and social studies themes as well. This will help increase the children's engagement and enthusiasm dramatically. It will facilitate and enhance the learning of all my visual and auditory learners. This would be a wonderful addition to our classroom and facilitate learning in so many ways.
