Help me give my students technology in a small group setting through the use of the HD Smart Projector. This tool could help me show books, resources, assignments, examples, social stories, etc.

My Students

I love working with students with disabilities! They are smart, work hard and love when they can master a concept. They come from many backgrounds but all come into my classroom hoping for the same thing-to be able to do what their peers are doing in the general education classroom.

Each student has an IEP-An Individualized Education Plan.

This plan allows for the student to have individual education goals that will allow for day to day gain and growth. Progress is key to this program. Progress indicates to them and me that what we are doing is working and that they are one step closer to close the gap.

It doesn't matter if the child has autism, down syndrome, a learning disability, a behavior disorder, a speech impediment or any other disability. Their hard work allows them to be included with their peers and for their peers to be loved and included with them. The materials we use are crucial to their success in my classroom, in general education and in life.

My Project

Because I am not in a regular classroom, I do not have access to projectors, microphones, speakers, etc. but want to allow my students to have the use of technology to teach key concepts and academic skills.

This technology would allow me to show assignments, examples, share read alouds, play academic group games, and engage students in a different kind of way.

My goal is to close the learning gap and have students access the general education curriculum and this tool would allow me to have support to do so.
