Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach Advanced Placement English Language and Composition, and recently, our district switched to digital tests. With my current technology, I'm not able to monitor in real-time students' progress on digital tests, create engaging digital materials, or facilitate classes that model the digital test to ready them for the experience as well as the material.

With this technology, I can provide individualized data reports for my students and share them with ease using digital formats that I can create using video and multimedia editing tools.

I can also have more screen space to view their individual progress, post class materials, and take care of administrative tasks like attendance during class. I can also engage in asynchronous professional development sessions knowing I have technology like video and audio to engage with colleagues across the country.

My students come from a school where 98% students receive free or reduced lunch. They already face so many barriers when it comes to their education; I don't want lack of access to technology be another one of those barriers. Please help me prepare them for a digital learning environment with these materials.
