Technology for 21st Learners

My Students

My students are diverse in socioeconomic background, home environments, social skills, learning styles, and interests. Many students do not have Internet access at home.

I have several gifted and talented students eager to create and learn, as well as some students who need additional to intensive support.

These students are enthusiastic about learning, have high energy, and want to be successful. They are the definition of 21st Century Learners. They enjoy using technology, receiving immediate feedback, and collaborating with peers.

My Project

These Chromebooks will enable students to use websites that are individualized based on student need. This allows each student to practice skills they need additional help with, while also challenging those beyond grade level content.

The Chromebooks will be used during math and reading centers, to reach more students individual academic needs.

Currently I don't have enough access to technology, in my classroom, for these centers to operate effectively. Many of my students don't have Internet access at home that allows them to utilize these websites. Therefore, the Chromebooks will provide all students with equal access and level the playing field.
