Help me give my students an awesome HP printer, HP chromebook, HP ink cartridges, Canon camera, Stress relief toy pack, stapler, nameplates, and rubber finger tips.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 27 eager first-grade students who enjoy learning how to read, write, and do the math. Our awesome school is located in Southern California. My first graders come to school ready to learn each day. We need modern technology such as a printer, chromebook, and camera to complete STEAM projects in our classroom.
My students range from gifted and talented to below grade level.
We are proud to be a Nationally Recognized School of Excellence and have won many prestigious awards. Since we are not a Title I school, funding extra projects are very difficult!
My Project
Our classroom needs a technology update! We need a color inkjet printer that is economical to keep the cost of replacement cartridges low. Our all in one printer and copier will get a workout printing certificates of achievement for math, science, and reading. I would also print math and science work from my Teacher's Pay Teacher's account. I have requested the XL cartridges as they have the best yields at a lower price than laser printers.
We also need a HP chromebook to let more students take comprehension quizzes to meet their individual reading goals.
A new chromebook would allow more students to read a book online and take a comprehension quiz. Students in my classroom will be completing Science/engineering projects and I will take pictures of these special projects to put in their memory book, class newsletter, and on my teacher webpage. We need a new camera because my old camera broke last year.
I am requesting a pack of 12 stress balls to put at a special station in my classroom where I have other calming activities and toys to help students who have anger issues to calm down so they can return to class activities quickly. This technique is an effective restorative practice strategy proven to help students who are angry or who are just having a difficult day.
Finally, I have requested a new stapler and rubber finger tips to sort and staple classwork in a quick and effective manner. I also asked for nameplates to help my students solve math equations by using the 120 number chart located on their nameplates Won't you help my future scientist, engineers, and mathematicians get modern technology and basic school supplies?
