it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love the fact that my students are eager to learn! Most importantly, despite the many challenges that they face at home, school, or in their community, they come to school with open hearts and minds. They’re like little sponges, waiting to absorb every and anything that I have to offer that would make their learning experience an enjoyable and rewarding one.
I am a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district, with close to 100% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunch and about 20% living in one of the four shelters around our school, I would like my students to experience learning in an enjoyable environment.
My students may forget what I say on a regular basis, but they’ll never forget how I make them feel!
My Project
The Printer and toner will assist with providing opportunities for students to get homework and class projects at an expedited pace. This will allow for more practice on math and reading skills across the curriculum.
With there being a great demand on getting lessons/activities printed, but having limited resources, obtaining the printer and toner makes instruction much easier.
Having access to assignments on a timely manner will ensure that my students can sharpen their skills, and are well equipped for bi-weekly assessments as well as standardizes test. Most importantly, they become the scholars I know that they are.
