My students need Amazon Tablets so they can access several websites we use daily. I integrate STEM projects often in my classroom. This allows my students to be actively engaged in their learning process.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a fourth grade Math and Science teacher in Mobile. We are one of the largest cities in the state of Alabama and are quite diverse. I work in a lower socioeconomic area where students have many needs.
With the push for a global technology based society I feel it is very important to reach these needs of my students.
Students lack access to the internet and devices when they are home. I try to integrate technology based lessons, which is often difficult to do with the lack of devices.
My students love to create their own videos, power points, boards, and all sorts of masterpieces online. They love to show me new tricks online and I live for moments like that. It can be thrilling when all the students are engaged and enjoying themselves while learning.
My Project
My students will use these tablets everyday to enhance their learning experience. I plan on lightly implementing flip classroom this year and having these devices will aid with this process. I will be using Nearpod, Edpuzzle, Flipgrid, and many more websites often.
These Amazon fire tablets will be used to assist in whole group, small group, and individual learning.
I need them to be able to have easy access to technology in order to prepare them for this technology enriched society.
Thank you so much for considering to donate to my classroom, any donation helps get a student closer to success.
