My students are full of energy and excitement for life and learning. My students are all different and unique in their learning styles and abilities, but each one is special to me. The students I teach come from a wide variety of situations. I teach students coming from very affluent families. Many of these students have a lot of support and encouragement at home and access to help, either from a parent or maybe an outside tutor.
I also teach students on the opposite end of the spectrum.
For some, their parent is working two jobs to try to make ends meet and doesn't come home in time to work with his or her child. Many have grandparents who have taken over the role as guardian.
It is my job as the teacher to make sure that each and every student gets the support and encouragement they need along with the tools needed to be successful. Having students with such diverse backgrounds, make differentiated instruction crucial to the classroom. Please help me to provide the support my students need.
My Project
Students need to learn how to be good researchers and analyzers of facts. They need to know how to find reliable information and how to apply it. They also need to learn how to present information to others and how to communicate in a digital age. Chromebooks will help us achieve this goal.
Chromebooks are an excellent way of researching and communicating information to others.
Using the Chromebooks, students can research, create documents, and present information effectively.
Students love to work with technology, and we want to create a collaborative classroom where learning happens through inquiry, discussion and creativity. Studies show that the highest levels of learning happen when students are in charge of their own learning.
